Barhopping on Seminyak Bars 101

Google All Seminyak Bars You’re Interested to

This is important. Have a serious lists of all Seminyak bars you want to hop on (we recommend no more than 5 bars—maybe 6 at most!). Because when it’s come to the third bar, everybody would have been too tipsy to decide where they should go next. Google every potential bars, read the reviews, and decide.

Minimise Taxi Use

The roads in Seminyak are quite narrow and can get easily congested—especially during the rush hours. The Petingenget, where you might want to start your bar hopping, can get heavily crowded from 5 to 9 pm—where everybody is heading to the bars—only to get jammed again at 2 am. Seriously, you’d waste huge amount of time if you try to take cab from every bar to another. Try to limit your night to just one or two walkable area. Maybe hit the first three bars in Cemplung Tanduk area, hail a cab to Petingenget, and continue the next three bars hopping there.

Everybody Should Bring Enough Cash

Don’t just assume you would find ATM wherever you go. Bring enough cash to last a night. You gonna need cash for drinks, taxis, and even quick mid-party street snacks. Everybody in the group should bring cash to cover their own expenses—it’s not fair to rely on one or two friends with credit cards to pay the bills.

Wear Comfy Shoes

Oh, yes. The key of crazy, Seminyak bars hopping night rely on your shoes! You won’t be able to dance all night in hurting heels. Save the stilettos for a more stationary nights and hit that fancy flip flops! In Bali, literally nobody care if you show up in a bar with just sandals—the atmosphere is very laid back here.

Eat Something Light Before

Gulping on beers and vodka on empty stomach is a recipe for disaster. Don’t make a rookie mistake. Be pro and have a light dinner—you don’t want to be too full—and give your stomach a solid base before going crazy on drinks.
